Why won't my handset charge? - Standard

My Nokia 2760 handset has refused to charge. Could there be anything I can do to have it working again?

Yes there is something you can do. To begin with, make sure the power sockets are working well, and in good condition. Since the phone is digitally designed, it cannot work when the current flow is breaking up intermittently.
Secondly, make sure your charger is in good working condition. You can try using another one that is working to make sure yours is not the problem. Chargers fail to work, especially if they are used in wet conditions, high temperature areas, and faulty power.
Thirdly, if you are using the extension cable, it has to be the best type. Some extension cables deteriorate too fast. Their outlets expand after being in use for just a short while making it difficult for the charger plug-in pins to make contact with the extension cable.
Also, after you have verified all this things are satisfied that they are working, then you can check for the phone抯 input, let the technician look at it to make sure the current flow is getting to the phone to charge the battery. This is the part that can become loose if the user is careless.
